Enhancements to the Skyword Platform

Written by Tom Gerace | May 19, 2011

As part of our continuously evolving process of ensuring and improving the quality of the content created for brands through the Skyword platform, we’ve recently made some updates that will further enable our Skywriters and their editors to make good on our promise to provide top-notch quality content to our partners.

The Article Scorecard, which provides our Skywriters and their editors with a graded score for each article created, has been enhanced to not only include an SEO Scorecard, but also Article Suggestions and a Readability Score.

The Article Suggestions will now include spelling suggestions (which will pick up on misspelled words), style suggestions (which will make suggestions for edits – for example, it may look for complex expressions, duplicate words or passive voice) and grammar suggestions (to eliminate any and all grammatical errors).

The Readability Score will provide a score categorizing the article’s readability (or how easy it is to understand).

In addition to the scorecards, we’ve also enabled new ways for Skywriters to promote their content. We now provide SEO’d links for articles. And now, Skywriters can easily send their work to Facebook and Twitter – and widely across the social web with the “Add This” feature.

We hope that these changes will help our Skywriters to fulfill our mission to provide the world with the information it seeks.
