Skyword just launched Social Reach Reporting and Keyword Analytics and Recommendations in The Skyword Platform. These two new enhancements make it easy for companies to understand how their content is shared socially and, with a single click, take action to improve their content’s search performance.
Before we dive a little deeper into the latest release, let’s take a quick look at a major challenge marketers face and why this new functionality is so important to solve that challenge.
Have you ever tried to say something at a party or a concert but been drowned out by the noise? Pretty frustrating. Well, that’s exactly what’s happening to companies today. With so much information constantly bombarding people, it’s difficult for companies to be heard above the noise. How do you provide customers with the information they want, when they want it, and where they want it?
Today, most people find the information they want through search and the social web. Think about this. How many times a day do you search online for information? I actually kept track of my online searches the other day: 11 searches in one day. Americans search for information 18 billion times each month, and when they find something they like, they share it–36 billion times each month through social channels.
To reach these consumers, marketers spend millions of dollars on Search Engine Marketing; yet, in actuality, 85% of clicks come from organic search.
Skyword makes it easy for companies to create quality content optimized for organic search and the social web. The latest version of the Skyword Platform now makes it easier to close the loop between seeing what content people search for and share, and then acting on it.
Social Reach Reporting
The social reach of an article can enhance its lift significantly. According to a recent Skyword Content Intelligence Study, news content that was shared socially had more than a 7X lift, and evergreen content experienced more than a 3X lift when shared on writers’ personal social networks. With the newest release of the Skyword Platform, customers gain valuable insight into the social reach of their programs, articles, and writers. The Skyword Platform now includes a dashboard item that shows tweets, Facebook Likes, Facebook Shares, Google +1s, and Social Views for all articles in a program for the day and month selected. Companies also can run a report to view results for a series of days, and they can view social performance for individual articles as well. With this functionality, companies know where to invest to ensure that their brand voice is being heard where it matters.
Keyword Analytics and Recommendations
Skyword has added a layer of intelligence to the Skyword Platform that collects vast amounts of data from the internet on keyword performance, analyzes it, and automatically recommends high-performing keywords to include in content. With a single click, our customers can assign recommended keywords to writers, quickly closing the loop between analytics and action. This new functionality saves content managers hours of time and resources analyzing a deluge of performance data and provides them with an immediate lever to improve content performance.
I’m excited about both of these features as we write the Skyword Blog on the Skyword Platform. Tomorrow I can log in and see how often and where people shared this post socially–definitely an incentive for me to expand my social networks. Feel free to tweet, Like, or Share. I’ll let you know how I did in my next post. If you’d like to see how you can improve your content’s search and social performance, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
