Vidaao, a content creator marketplace, recently received $300,000 as a part of the NYC Seedstart accelerator program to foster business development. Its mission? To connect companies with video producers who will take care of video production, planning, and strategy for them.
Companies can submit a brief outlining their video needs, and the platform will automatically vet out a few freelance producers based on location and pricing parameters. These producers can then bid on the job in hopes of being selected for the project. Companies can review their pitches, profile pages (which include a brief bio, sample videos and client testimonials) and LinkedIn accounts to choose the best person for the job.
Vidaao also provides support once the project begins. Both parties can manage the day-to-day operation completely through the platform on the site. In addition, Vidaao takes care of all the behind-the-scenes administration, including contracts, nondisclosure agreements and the like.
CEO and co-founder Justin Park estimates that companies can save 30 percent or more on their video-related costs by using the service, according to TechCrunch.
Video and Content Marketing
While content marketing focuses mainly on the written word, video is becoming more and more essential for online marketers. Video marketing offers a few advantages over traditional content. In fact, according to comScore, 85 percent of internet users in the U.S. consume video content and 31 percent watch video ads. In addition, recent research shows that users are extremely likely to share online video ads on social media — typically within the first 24 hours.
Video adds an essential multimedia aspect to online marketing that is highly engaging to users and extremely effective. Content marketers should seriously consider ading quality video into their marketing mix if they’re looking to make an impact with their campaigns. Those without the knowledge or time to create quality video can now turn to Vidaao to help streamline the process and reduce production costs.
